LET EDUCATION
BE YOUR LEGACY

Our exceptional education is the enduring legacy of William Sevenoke and many benefactors over six centuries.

William Sevenoke’s founding vision was for children from all backgrounds to receive an education. True to his intention, we continue to give young people from diverse backgrounds access to education and to equip them with the knowledge, skills and confidence to pursue their passions in life and make a better world.

Transforming life opportunities

Sevenoaks School is global in outlook and rooted in the local community, committed to developing inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people, empowered with the
skills to create a better and more peaceful world.

True to our foundation, we believe a Sevenoaks education should be accessible and affordable for the most exceptional students irrespective of background. We know that the best learning comes from a diverse mix of talented students. Research shows that diverse classrooms encourage critical thinking and problem-solving, lead to better decisions and increase academic attainment for all students. There are many academically talented young people whose horizons are limited by financial capability, but who could bring so much to the Sevenoaks’ community.

Unlike many schools, Sevenoaks School does not have a historical endowment income. Instead, we have relied on the generosity of many individuals, throughout the school’s history, who have shared our vision and committed to helping us achieve our goals.

We invite and welcome the support of Old Sennockians, parents and staff to continue this tradition through gifts in wills.

YOUR LEGACY

Many people think that a legacy should be a large sum of money. In reality, leaving just a small percentage of your estate can, and will, make a very real difference.

If you leave 10 per cent or more, you can reduce the inheritance tax on the rest of your estate. No matter how big or small, every gift in a will can make a lasting impact. Together, we can transform the life opportunities of young people in perpetuity.

“I am extremely grateful for the gift of a bursary – it made me appreciate the chance I had been given and encouraged me to work harder.”
